Faisalabad: 3 people shot dead resisting bank robbery
The dacoits fled with scene with an amount of 10 lacs
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) -- Dacoits robbed a bank during daylight on Wednesday. During the heist the cashier and 2 guards resisted and got fatally shot by the robbers, Dunya News reported.
The robbery took place on Sheikhupura road near Textile University where 4 robbers rode on 2 motorbikes and started robbing a bank.
The guards gave resistance to robbers to which the robbers retaliated and as a result of the exchange of fire 2 guards, Saleem and Haji Mehmood and 1 cashier, Hanif, were killed while another cashier was injured.
The dacoits fled with scene with an amount of 10 lacs.
The police arrived on scene half an hour after the incident and cordoned off the area.
Enraged crowd gave protest against the police for their delayed action.
Police has taken a suspicious person in custody from the scene and transferred him to police station.
Police has commented that the dacoits would be brought to justice soon.
