House looted

Burglars looted a locked house in Jeevan Bhima Nagar and escaped with gold valuables worth Rs. 7 lakhs. The incident was reported in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Based on a complaint lodged by the victim, Vinod Murthy, J.B. Nagar police have registered a case of house theft on Wednesday.

According to the police, the victim who was living in a joint family had left for Tirupathi on March 21. The theft came to light on Tuesday midnight after the family of the victim returned and found the main door of the house broken. Upon checking, they found the wardrobe door broken and gold valuables including one gold chain, three gold necklaces and 11 gold rings were missing.

Vinod immediately alerted police who arrived at the spot along with dog squad and finger-prints experts and collected finger prints from the spot.

Jeevan Bhima Nagar police are investigating.
