Legal issues related to land acquisition are causing delay in setting up a new industrial estate at Kamla village in Nadiad Taluka. This detail was shared by Minister Saurabh Patel in Gujarat Assembly.
He said the decision to set up Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation(GIDC) estate was taken in year 1978 ad GIDC was started. But while 9-60-71 hectare land has been in use, the other 9-43-87 hectare land is still with farmers, and government has achieved no success in its acquisition, though the order for acquisition has been issued and even money has been allotted.
Minister said Gujarat government is committed to develop this GIDC estate fully, if needed through public partnership.
