The Newpark Mats & Integrated Services Colorado office was awarded ExxonMobil's "2014 Silver Contractor Safety Excellence Award" at the recent ExxonMobil Global Real Estate (GRE) Contractor Safety Forum in Houston. This marks the second year in a row that NMIS has achieved this recognition for its commitment to promoting workplace safety in accordance with ExxonMobil's high standards for safety.

NMIS employees have worked with the ExxonMobil GRE team for over 25 years as site managers for ExxonMobil's Colony Oil Shale project in Parachute, Colorado, and this award was granted in recognition of NMIS' stellar safety record at this site - more than 2200 days without a safety incident. In order to qualify for the award, contractors must comply with ExxonMobil's intensive, 11-part system for management of all aspects of safety, called the Operation Integrity Management System. Erin Leftwich, Regional Manager based in Grand Junction, Colorado, said "Complying with ExxonMobil's safety requirements requires a great deal of preparation and organization, and receiving this award two years in a row is a very significant accomplishment. In addition, every employee involved in the project must be interviewed in depth by ExxonMobil safety auditors to ensure they understand all aspects of the safety system."

Congratulations to everyone involved in achieving this prestigious safety recognition!
