The city police on Tuesday arrested a 38-year-old person on charges of sexually abusing his two school-going daughters. According to the police, the accused, identified as Shibu, a resident of Kaloor, had been abusing his 15 and 14-year-old daughters for the past four months in the absence of their mother. The incident came to light during a counselling programme conducted by Child line workers in the victims’ school. As per the preliminary probe, the victims’ mother was unaware of the sexual abuse.
