In addition, endgadget reports that Layout is Instagram's second stand-alone app, after video app Hyperlapse.
Layout comes with 10 different layout options that you can play around with to create mirror images, grid lay-outs and collages.
You can choose up to 9 of your favourite photos at a time, insert your favourite layout using the Photo Booth feature, that lets users snap a series of photos.
You can also follow these steps.
Unlike most similar apps, Layout frames and positions the subject of your pictures for you. It also allows you to take up to four selfies in one go.
The best part, if you do not like your end product, you can always use the Replace button, then drag and drop the image of your choice.
The final step: share on Facebook, Twitter or any of your preferred social media sites as normal.
It looks like the social online community has caught on.

#instagramlayout is fab. Love the fact that there aren't borders like other #collage apps. pic.twitter.com/FdwwnOztdL
