Memac Ogilvy & Mather has proudly announced the promotion of Ronald Howes to Chief Operating Officer MENA, following his outstanding work growing the company’s UAE business and strengthening its reputation as one of the most awarded agencies in the region.

In his new role Ronald will endeavor to expand Memac Ogilvy & Mather’s MENA operations and solidify its position as the regional powerhouse of the global network of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, while also taking on direct responsibility over the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain & Kuwait offices. He will continue to spearhead the strategic and creative work coming from the Agency, which is being increasingly recognized on an international stage.

Under Ronald’s expert guidance over the last decade, as the Regional Managing Director for GCC and Managing Director of the UAE, the Memac Ogilvy & Mather family has seen tremendous growth as well as achieved numerous accolades. When first appointed as head of the UAE business, Ronald opened an office in Abu Dhabi and made it one of the best agencies in the city. Furthermore Ronald has transformed the other aspects of the Memac Ogilvy business, including CB'A, Sports Marketing and has also recently taken charge of Ogilvy CommonHealth.

His strong guidance has helped to steer the agency to achieve Agency Of The Year at the Lynx (MENA 2014) and also won Agency Of The Year by Campaign Magazine, as well as international recognition at leading advertising award shows. This has contributed to his Dubai office now being ranked No.4 in the Ogilvy Cadre (out of 532 offices globally).

Edmond Moutran, CEO and Chairman of Memac Ogilvy and Mather MENA, stated, “With Ronald’s support, we have exceeded our own expectations across the region and continue to strive to become the world’s best agency, rooted in the Middle East.  I have great faith that Ronald will be a major player in helping us reach that vision as he continues to fly the Memac Ogilvy flag from victory to victory.”

“I am honored to have been appointed the new COO and I am privileged to continue working with such a talented and dedicated team across the Network. The accomplishments we have made over the last decade make me extremely proud and I look forward to helping steer the Agency toward even greater success,” said Ronald Howes.
