While the hotel embraces the rich history of the property, it understands the expectations of the modern traveller and wants to continue to ensure the comfort and convenience of all guests. Subsequently, this winter will see 41 of the hotel's rooms and their en-suite facilities redecorated and re-fixtured. Upon the completion of these upgrades, guests can expect to see modern touches seamlessly integrated with the graceful ambience that has always been associated with this historic hotel.
Work will begin on 6 April 2015 in order for the hotel to be ready for the 2015 summer season. A staggered schedule will isolate certain areas for work, allowing the remainder of the hotel and its facilities to be largely unaffected - with partition walls only appearing in those areas where work is being undertaken.
