Joy was writ large on the face of Governor ESL Narasimhan after his visit to the famous historic Ramappa temple in

Venkatapur mandal here on Tuesday.

Amazed at the intricate carvings and enchanting sculptors of Kakatiya kings, the Governor along with his wife and relatives spent more than an hour going round the temple.

The local guide and Intach convenor M. Panduranga Rao apprised the Governor in detail about the historic importance of the temple. “It is surprising to note the dexterity of sculptors of those days and it is heartening to note that they are still surviving. We need to preserve them,” Governor reportedly told the officials accompanying him.
