Krishnadevaraya university official in Lokayukta net

The Lokayukta police trapped Katepaga Vijayakumar, Registrar (Administration) of Vijayanagar Sri Krishnadevaraya University, while taking money from a private college management here on Tuesday. Sources in the Lokayukta told The Hindu that Vijayakumar had demanded Rs. 5 lakh from Akhil Ahmed of Royal B.Ed College for renewal of affiliation and later agreed to accept Rs. 3.5 lakh. Based on the complaint from Mr. Ahmed, the police laid trap and arrested Vijayakumar while accepting Rs. 1 lakh.
