Marches taken out to post offices

District Congress Committee president K. Surendran inaugurating a dharna in front of the Railway Station post office in Kannur on Tuesday in protest against the ‘anti-people policies’ of the BJP government at the Centre.

Congress activists on Tuesday took out marches to various post offices in the district in protest against the ‘anti-people’ policies of the Central government.

District Congress Committee president K. Surendran inaugurated the district-level protest held in front of the Railway Station post office here.

Protest marches were taken out to the post offices at Thalassery, Koothuparamba, Iritty, Puthiyatheru, Sreekantapuram, and Alakkode.

In the district-level protest, Congress leader V. Purushothaman presided.
