Four caught by Lokayukta

The Lokayukta police have arrested four persons, including a manager of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Development Corporation, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 2,000 from a person for releasing a loan sanctioned by the corporation for dairy farming.

According to sources, those arrested are Dyamaiah, manager of the corporation; Rathnamma, a clerk; Jagadish, a driver; and Hanumantappa.

The accused had demanded Rs. 2,000 from Dodda Irappa, a farmer, of Vaddarhatti village in Honnalli taluk for releasing Rs. 35,000 from the corporation.
