For the first time, probably, after Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) came to power, the infighting in the ruling party came to fore at a meeting of the party held at Ramachandrapuram in Medak district on Tuesday.

Supporters of Andol legislator P. Babumohan and his opponents raised slogans against one another in front of Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao, who attended the meeting.

At a point , MLC Ramulu Naik reportedly lost cool . The party workers were alleging that Babumohan was according priority to those who came from Telugu Desam Party (TDP), but those who toiled in the party for more than a decade were left behind.

Addressing the cadres, Mr. Harish Rao said indiscipline would not be tolerated in TRS party. Stating that the party got strengthened with about 3.25 lakh members in the native district of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, he said that party meeting would be held in the city on April 27, and he called upon the workers to mobilise more than two lakh workers.

He suggested them to elect village and mandal level committees unanimously with a promise that nominated posts would be filled soon.
