Back in the day, dahlings, many of us have proudly worn a pair of Converse sneakers.

The iconic brand recently launched its 2015 Spring collection at White Space in Makati.

This year, the company brought out the newest collections of its All-Star, Cons Sneaker and Apparel, as well as Jack Purcell lines.

The night’s temperature rose when the event’s program introduced model and TV personality Georgina Wilson “as the newest face” of the brand.

Wilson, a self-confessed Converse fan, joins long-time brand ambassador, singer-composer and actor Kean Cipriano, of the rock band Callalily, said marketing head Kate Oliva.

Some of the guests rocked the joint with their classic Chucks from previous collections, such as my palangga Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Emmy award-winning producer Mike Carandang; “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Jacob Benedicto, model LA Aguinaldo, young actor Abel Estanislao, TV personality Julz Savard; and designer Ulysses King.

Naturellement, euphoric about the new collection were Converse CEO and president Margarita Go, Kate Oliva and publicist Chris Cahilig, palangga.

With a pair of Chuck Taylor All Stars, owners have a blank canvas just waiting to be filled with their own memories.

As time goes by, Converse sneakers gain more character because they’re now colored with your different memories and experiences.

Whitening facial wash

Another iconic brand is Pond’s cream. Even my mom, during her time, was already using it.

It’s also the favorite of my soul mate Vicky Zubiri.

Now Pond’s introduces another breakthrough to add to your beauty regimen, dahlings: the new Pond’s Pearl Cleansing Gel. It is the first whitening facial wash in gel formulation that cleanses your skin, making it whiter and fresher without drying it.

Its mild ingredients allow its properties to dissolve faster and more effectively into the skin, enabling better absorption of its Pearl Essence, which is known and tested for effective skin whitening.

It likewise locks in the moisture, making skin softer and more supple. Now you know, palangga.

“We saw how successful our launch for Pond’s Dewy Rose Gel was last year, so we decided to complete the whitening gel regimen in skincare,” said Jules Gollayan, Pond’s senior brand manager.

“The New Pond’s Pearl Cleansing Gel stands out above regular whitening soaps, because it removes dirt from your skin without dragging away your skin’s moisture with it. It leaves your skin fresh,” Gollayan added.

Also present at the event were men who attested to using Pond’s cream, palangga.

Pond’s launched its latest innovation with a Beauty Trends Talk, led by resident beauty expert Agoo Bengzon.

“The latest beauty trend,” she said, “is the bare minimum or no-makeup look, which is all about having great skin that saves you time and effort.”

She added that most beauty products nowadays are in “gel” form.
