Maddy Vance is a 15-year-old singer/songwriter who has inspired and motivated many generations through her music and relatable lyrics. She has been perfecting her craft on the piano and guitar for the past seven years, and has built a catalog of over 50 original songs that have helped piece together her story. When Maddy was a child, she was diagnosed with a severe heart condition better known as SVT, which introduced many challenges into her daily life. During her struggles with SVT, Vance turned to music for guidance and inspiration, which helped her overcome many obstacles.

In January of 2014, Maddy released her first independent EP "Stars," which continues to gain momentum in the digital sphere. She has built an organic fan-base from the ground up, and is working hard in the studio to deliver consistent material to her fans and followers. Over the past 12 months, Vance has made a variety of special performance appearances at Comic-Con/ Kid-Con, Disney, Cancer Society's Relay for Life, and DNT's Emerging Artist Showcase to name a few. In the first quarter of 2015, Vance was signed to DNT Entertainment as a songwriter, and in addition to building her own career, has successfully contributed to the growth of many other independent artists in and around Orange County.

Maddy's new single "Paper Airplane" was co-written and produced by David Batt and Kyle Wesley of Royal Fire Music Group. It will be available for ITunes download on March 30, 2015, and will be accompanied by an official music video.

"'Paper Airplane' is a song that I wrote when I was in a place where I was longing to be somewhere else. Being in high school it is hard to know where you fit in, and at the same time staying true to who you are," comments Maddy about her upcoming single. "You may not have all the answers now, but you gain perspective with all the experiences you go through."

Maddy wrote "Paper Airplane" after a bullying incident in her high school. The song reflects her own personal experience of rising above a negative situation. It is her desire to give hope to other youth dealing with similar situations.

Vance has recently teamed up with a local Orange County jewelry company to design an original line, which will accompany "Paper Airplane." The jewelry consists of Paper Airplane charmed bracelets, necklaces, and earrings that are available in both silver and gold plated designs.

"The jewelry was designed as a symbol to remind my fans to be themselves and soar."

Maddy has soared and risen above her challenges, and her jewelry is an emblematic reminder to her fans that they can, as well, rise above any obstacle set before them. Vance's custom-designed jewelry will soon be available for purchase through her website www.maddyvance.com.

On March 25, 2015, Maddy's fans are encouraged to create their own paper airplane and post it to Instagram with the hash-tag #MaddyVancePaperAirplane and #WhereWillYouSoar. The winner will receive their very own paper airplane bracelet, a signed photo, and a copy of Maddy's latest EP "Stars." Contest ends April 13 th, 2015.

In a few short days, "Paper Airplane" will take off on local radio airwaves. Make sure to tune into KX 93.5 on March 30, 2015 at 8am where Maddy will be debuting her new single live on the air for the first time.
