Stephen Peacocke has joined the cast of MGM and New Line’s “Me Before You,” starring “Game of Throne’s” Emilia Clarke and “The Hunger Games” actor Sam Claflin.

Thea Sharrock will direct “Me Before You,” which is based on the Jojo Moyes novel and revolves around a girl in a small town who forms an unlikely bond with a recently paralyzed man she’s taking care of. Peacocke will play the paralyzed man’s personal caretaker.

Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber will adapt. Karen Rosenfeldt and Sue Baden-Powell will produce.

Peacocke has also landed a role in the biopic “Fun House,” starring Tina Fey and Margot Robbie. He just finished production on “Fun House” and will jump immediately into shooting “Me Before You.”

Though his only major role so far was in last summer’s action pic “Hercules,” Peacocke is popular in the Aussie market, having starred in over 600 episodes of the popular Oz show “Home and Away.” The soap has become Hollywood’s go-to show for scouting young rising Australian talent, with everyone from Liam and Chris Hemsworth to Heath Ledger getting their start on the show before making it big.

Peacocke is repped by CAA, Sophie Jermyn Management, Brillstein Entertainment and attorney Dan Fox.
