I was scared of Yogaraj Bhat: Jaggesh
Actor-politician Jaggesh teams up for the first time with Yogaraj Bhat for Vaastu Prakaara. There are a lot of expectations from his fans for this collaboration. Excerpts:
Working with bhatru I had to alter my working style to suit Bhatru (Yogaraj) — with whom I was working for the first time — during the shoot of Vaastu Prakaara. While he had a basic outline of the film, he would think on the move — he would alter and even change the dialogues, shots and locations till the last minute.
I was initially a little scared and worried, but, later, I thoroughly enjoyed shooting for the film.
On his character I play the role of a business magnet in the film, and Rakshit (Shetty) plays my nephew. My character comes to the fore when Rakshit comes in search of me to Switzerland and realizes that I’m a failure. Out of curiosity, he stays with me and we both fight against some popular beliefs in an interesting manner, which includes vaastu.
I’m a believer I’m a firm believer in God and also ritualistic, but my beliefs don’t interfere with my work. Lord Krishna is said to have once said, ‘Do work that is suitable to you,’ so, I believe as an artist I have to take up various kinds of roles irrespective of my personal beliefs. More importantly, Vaastu Prakaara does not mock or defy the belief; it only shows us another side to it.
