Chitrangda brings summer colours alive

Actress Chitrangda Singh lit up the ramp for Reliance Trends with Tarun Tahiliani’s collection at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort ’15 recently.
The collection is inspired by the beautiful works of art done by the Singh twins, artists who are based in the UK. Tarun has used exquisite art works by the twins to create prints on fabrics that are contrasted perfectly with the designers’ signature drapes and cuts.Silhouettes like tunics, shirts, sarees and draped lehengas find reinterpretation in new drapes and a burst of colours ranging from peaches and lemon to bright yellows and oranges.
One of India’s largest fashion destinations, Reliance Trends, presented fashion diva Chitrangda Singh as the showstopper for designer Tarun Tahiliani at the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015.
The Spring Summer’15 Collection is inspired by the works of art done by UK-based artists, the Singh twins, and Tarun has used these works to create prints on fabrics that are contrasted perfectly with his signature drapes and cuts. The saris are a riot of colour with startling LED like borders that give the traditional drape a new twist. Focusing on borders with Persian motifs, Tarun has used them solo or in unison for leggings and dresses.
“The new collection of the brand brings the true summer colours alive with interesting prints and fabrics. Tarun’s line takes you across the rich heritage of our country by giving it a nice tribal twist,” said Chitrangda. Tarun added, “As someone who connects fashion across the country, the brand has been able to spearhead and spot fashion trends.”
