Raipur: Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy exuded confidence on Tuesday that the BJP would win the Bihar assembly elections scheduled to be held this year end on its own.

"I am confident that BJP will form the government in Bihar with its own power (in next assembly elections)," Rudy said at a press conference this evening after he was questioned about the possibility of a re-alliance with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the future.

However, commenting on an alliance between Lalu Prasad's RJD and Nitish Kumar's JD-United,?he said, "The base of Nitish Kumar's politics (in Bihar) which he had established in ten years, was against the activities of Lalu Prasad Yadav but since the day Nitish aligned with Lalu, Bihar's rule has come in the hands of latter once again."

"When I visited Naya Raipur and saw airports and roads here, I was wondering when such air strip and hotels will come up in Bihar. When livelihoods, colleges like Chhattisgarh would be established there... The state has been witnessing a caste-based politics since past 60 years. Bihar is undergoing through a hard time," he said.

Meanwhile, he also announced that Chhattisgarh state would have the country's first "skill university" to propagate skill development initiatives and measures being taken in the state.

"A Skill University will be set up in Chhattisgarh soon after the declaration of National Skill Development policy of the country within three months,"?Rudy said.

"Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country to have provided 'skill development' as a right for the local youth. Livelihood community colleges have been set up here in all its 27 districts," he said appreciating the ruling BJP government in Chhattisgarh for its efforts in the area of skill development.

Only two per cent workforce is skilled in the country which the biggest challenge, he said.

The Centre would unveil a national skill development policy to meet the demand of skilled workers in various sectors, he said.
