Building collapse injures commuter

VADODARA: A commuter was injured after a wall of a three-storeyed building collapsed on Verai Mata Road in the city area on Monday. A woman, who was commuting on the road, sustained minor injuries.
A parapet of the building, which was damaged, fell off, injuring the woman. She was rushed to a nearby hospital.
The three-storeyed building has two shops, an office and a grain shop on the ground floor.
"We have cut off the electricity and gas supply to the building as a precautionary measure. Structural engineer of the ward will be inspecting the building which is very old," said fire brigade officer Manish Mod.
