Police solves blind murder of lecturer

LEH, Mar 23: The district police today arrested nine accused and cracked a blind murder case of a lecturer ‘Monk’ namely Khenpo Gigme Tsultim of Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS), Leh.
The deceased Monk was found murdered in his residential quarter in CIBS complex on the intervening night of March 17 and 18, 2015 under mysterious circumstances.
In this connection, a case FIR No 27/2015 under Section 302 RPC was registered at police station Leh.
Since the occurrence of the incident, the Leh Police was actively pursuing the case from all angles and finally today on a specific input, a police team headed by Raj Paul Singh (KPS), Deputy Superintendent of Police DAR Leh arrested two prime accused from Phyang village.
Later, during the course of investigation seven more accused (students of CIBS) were also arrested from CIBS Choglamsar.
The investigations in the case was being closely supervised by Tsering Gyalpo, Additional Superintendent of Police, Leh and the case is being investigated by SIT comprising Inspector Stanzin Dorjay, SHO police Station Leh, Inspector Annyatullah, Inspector Sonam Rigzin, Inspector Mohd Baqir, SI Ammanullah, SI Meraj Khalid Geri, SI Rigzin Gurmet and SI Nawang Phanday DCRB Leh.
