“Strengthen alumni cell”

The American College celebrated its 134th College day here on Friday. In his address, chief guest Manohar Devadoss spoke about the architectural splendour of the college and also spoke to the students on the importance of taking up challenges in life. Sahitya Akademi award winner Joe D’Cruz, another chief guest spoke about the importance of creativity and innovation in one’s life.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal and Secretary M. Davamani Christober after presenting the annual report, urged the gathering to strengthen the alumni cell of the college. The director of the alumni cell, C. Muthuraja, too spoke at the event about the initiatives taken by the alumni cell to make maximum use of social networking platforms to reach out the alumni members who have settled across the world.

The students of the college put up a cultural programme on the occasion and prizes were distributed to the achievers in each department.
