The Aasara pension beneficiaries in Nalgonda were seen waiting for long hours at the post office for their turn to receive the pension money since there was delay in issuing the amount due to a technical glitch throughout Monday.

However, the Postal Staff at head post office in Nalgonda said that they have been issuing the pensions since March 18, but many did not turn up until Friday.

After two-day holiday, a huge number of beneficiaries have thronged the post office on Monday.

However, the staff also admitted that the servers of pensions were down for a while.

Meanwhile, the serpentine queues were formed before the post offices. The beneficiaries were seen jostling each other at the main head post office.

The elderly people and physically challenged had a tough time in waiting. The beneficiaries have alleged that they officials were not prepared to face an increased number of people at these places during the summer.

While the mercury was touching new levels with the onset of summer, beneficiaries rued saying that there was no shade cover as well.
