Eight people were killed and more than twenty wounded in a car bomb explosion in the Shiite-majority Sadr City area of north Baghdad, Iraq.
The bomb exploded near a restaurant and a mosque where people were gathering to visit a Shiite shrine in Samarra, north of the capital.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, but Sunni extremists, including Islamic State, often target Shiite Muslims in the country.
