A Congress worker farmer was found shot dead in Alot area of Ratlam district, 160 km from Indore on Monday morning.

INDORE: A Congress worker farmer was found shot dead in Alot area of Ratlam district, 160 km from Indore on Monday morning.
The bullet riddled body of 38-year-old farmer Vikram Singh Anjana, also a local level Congress worker, was found lying 1.5km from the farmer's native Joyan village at around 9am.
Vikram had gone to Alot town on Sunday evening and promised to return in the night only, but didn't return, after which his family members and villagers launched a search on Monday morning.

His body was spotted by villagers between Joyan and Patan village.
According to sub-divisional officer police (SDOP) RR Bansal, initial examination of the body revealed that Vikram was brutally killed. His body bore bullet injury marks in the head and stomach, besides multiple injuries inflicted with sharp edged weapon.
The body has been sent for autopsy. A murder case has been lodged by Alot police against unidentified accused.
The police, however, are clueless about likely cause of the brutal killing as the deceased's family is tight-lipped in the matter.
