Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Class 10/matriculation level exams are in continuation. The exam for Hindi Paper I subject was scheduled to be conducted on March 22, however, it got cancelled. On March 21, when Urdu subject was scheduled, Hindi Paper 1 question papers were mistakenly distributed to examinees at Surya Narayan Singh Yadav Inter College in Purnia. The mistake was caught hold off after 10-15 minutes, the candidates had started writing, by then. Hindi Paper 1 is meant for students who have taken Hindi as their national language.

Due to the paper leak, the exam had been cancelled, however, other subjects will be conducted on the same day as per the Bihar Board Class 10 schedule, including Hindi Paper 2. This has dented the image of the Board where the cheating incident was caught live on camera, a few days back. More than 300 students have been arrested and 750 students have been expelled in Bihar due to the same.

Inspite of the deployed faculties, invigilators and security guards, the Class 10 students were seen copying from the notes and the authorities did not seem to react in any manner. The open cheating raised many questions on the administration and the government.
While the authorities and the state administration have been embarrassed by the situation, the State Education Minister, PK Shahi believes that it is not the responsibility of the government.
