Govt. should understand public perception: former MP

March 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - CHITRADURGA:

The former MP H. Hanumantappa has said that the State government should not only concentrate on the technical details of the case related to the death of IAS officer D.K. Ravi, but also take into consideration public perception.

In a press release issued here on Sunday, he said that elected representatives need not overreact to such incidents and should be sensitive. It is high time that good sense prevailed on the government to take a positive decision by handing over the inquiry to the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Mafia involvement

The alleged involvement of mafia in the incident had raised eyebrows. Mr. Hanumanthappa said that the Opposition was awaiting such opportunities to tarnish the image of the government, added the release.
