LOBAMBA – The last player standing in the Build It Under-13s National Championships will be attached to South Africa’s Absa Premiership side, Amazulu’s development.

Despite losing the final 0-1 to Young Buffaloes at Somhlolo National Stadium yesterday, Mahlanya Brave Stars had something to smile about as promising youngster, Nhlanhla Makwakwa, emerged as the best to get an opportunity to travel to South Africa. He will be attached to Amazulu’s Under-13s for a week, confirmed the South African side’s spokesperson, Philani Mabaso.

“As we had partnered with the Swazi football association in the tournament, the best player would be on trial for a week with our juniors who are also sponsored by Build It.
We’re very happy on joining hands on such an initiative. We hope for a lasting relationship as we want to have players from Swaziland joining us in future.”

Mabaso said the organisers deserved credit for coordinating such a great tournament, saying it was a dream come true for the youngsters to play in the national stadium.
The player, who got fabulous prizes that include an Amazulu signed jersey, soccer ball and trophy said he did not expect to be a cut above the rest, promising to grab the chance with both hands.
