Cultural festival

The Cambridge Institute of Technology hosted its two-day cultural festival “Chiguru 2015” with corporate companies lending their support. As many as 110 colleges took part in the event with about 10,000 students taking part each day. From stunt shows, dance, and music, to beat-boxing, fashion show and mad ads, the array of events carried prize money worth more than Rs. 2 lakh.

Contest

Team Astra from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT), Bengaluru, is the second generation of Formula Hybrid SAE competitors from the college and is set to compete in the Formula Hybrid Student Collegiate Competition which will take place at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, U.S., from April 27 to 29. With 35 competitors to face from all over the world, Team Astra will be the second team from India.

New centre

Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) recently launched its centre in Malleswaram, making it the seventh centre in Bengaluru. Actor Raghavendra Rajkumar inaugurated the centre which is equipped with infrastructure to train students on the latest 3D animation and visual effects technology.

Partnership

Information security provider Paladion Networks is partnering with M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences to launch an M.Tech programme in Cyber Security and Information Assurance. The two-year course, co-designed by Paladion, covers security intelligence and analytics; governance, risk and compliance; and security operation centre.
