A rubber tapper was killed and his wife and son seriously wounded in a gun attack on their house in Yala's Thanto district on Saturday night, police said.
Pol Maj Manop Borapan, chief investigator of Mae Wat police station in Thanto district, said the incident occurred at about 9.30pm when at least two attackers opened fire at the house in Krapong village of tambon Mae Wat with AK47 rifles while Afnan Che-mae, 48, his wife Piyaporn To-adam, 46, and their son Aliya Che-mae, 25 were watching television.
Afnan was killed while his wife and son were seriously wounded. They were rushed to Thanto Hospital before being transferred to Yala Hospital.
