Hyderabad: Techie held for theft

The accused committed the crime to fund their lavish lifestyle

Hyderabad: The crime team of Banjara Hills police nabbed two persons, including a techie, for stealing about 440 grams gold about two years ago. The accused committed the crime to fund their lavish lifestyle.

The techie, M. Vamshi Krishna, is the prime accused and is a native of Krishna district.

In June 2013, he sneaked into his uncle’s house in Sri Krishnadevaraya Nagar Colony when the family members were about to leave for a relative’s place.

Vamshi hid under the cot in their bedroom and when everyone left the house, he broke open the almirah and stole about 440 grams gold. He took the booty to his native place and gave a part to his friend Satyanarayana. They mortgaged the remaining gold. Recently, while focussing on some long-pending cases, the cops traced the accused through the mobile phone he had stolen. About 240gm gold was seized from his possession.
