19-year-old raped by tantrik, aide

GURGAON: A 19-year-old girl from Delhi was allegedly gang-raped by a 'tantrik' and his accomplice in Sohna on Friday on the pretext of treating her for epilepsy. An FIR was lodged on Saturday. The accused are on the run.
According to the complaint, the survivor, a resident of Delhi'in Delhi, and her uncle had gone to Sohna to meet the tantrik, Hasan, to treat her for epileptic fits.
Hasan agreed to treat the girl and asked her uncle to wait. He and called an accomplice, identified as Irshad. He told the uncle he would have to take the girl to another place to treat her.
The survivor said the tantrik and his accomplice took her to a secluded place and took turns to rape her. Her uncle became suspicious and started searching for her. Hours later, he found her on the road, her clothes tattered. He asked tried asking her what was wrong but could not make out, since the girl was in shock.
He then took her home - where she narrated what had happened - and brought her to police on Saturday. A medical examination confirmed rape.
"We have lodged an FIR of gang rape, and against the quack and his accomplice. We are conducting raids to nab the accused," Sukhbir Singh, ACP, Sohna, said.
