Malden man pleads guilty to gun, drug charges

A 24-year-old Malden man has pleaded guilty to drug and gun charges, prosecutors said Saturday. Japeth Baugh was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm without a license, and possession of ammunition without a license, according to a statement from Middlesex District Attorney Marian T. Ryan’s office. Baugh was sentenced to a minimum of one year in prison and the remainder of a 2½-year sentence if he violates the terms of his probation, said Jacquelyn Goddard, a spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office.
