Blackmailer bootlegger nabbed in Navsari

Police arrested a bootlegger in Bilimora town of Navsari on Friday for blackmailing a liquor addict person to extort money with an obscene video of him. The accused shot a video of the complainant youth with a woman and used it to blackmail him.

SURAT: Police arrested a bootlegger in Bilimora town of Navsari on Friday for blackmailing a liquor addict person to extort money with an obscene video of him. The accused shot a video of the complainant youth with a woman and used it to blackmail him.
Police arrested Sanjay Parmar for allegedly shooting and using a video of a Navsari based youth around four months ago.
The accused was arrested by police after a stay order against his arrest was lifted by court.
In his complaint, the Navsari youth alleged that he was under influence of liquor when Parmar shot a video of him with a woman. Parmar later used the video to extort money from the youth who is from a respectable family of Navsari. Following harassment the victim approached police and lodged complaint.
Before police takes any action the accused approached court and got a stay order on his arrest. Meanwhile, police approached court and requested to lift the stay considering Parmar’s involvement in crimes like bootlegging. Considering the argument of police and complainant youth the court lifted the stay order.
To avoid arrest Parmar ran away and was declared absconder by court. Police succeeded in nabbing him on Friday. The complaint will be investigated now.
