Restaurant owner killed by customers in Hyderabad

The victim was allegedly dragged on to the road from the restaurant and stabbed
Hyderabad: In a daylight murder, the owner of a restaurant was allegedly murdered at Begumpet on Friday evening. The accused, who are all reportedly the customers of the restaurants, had an argument with the owner, which quickly escalated and led to the murder of the owner. The victim was allegedly dragged on to the road from the restaurant and stabbed. He sustained multiple injuries and succumbed while being shifted to the hospital.
The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Mohd. Jahangir, alias Waseem, a resident of Toli Chowki. He was the owner of the eatery called New MG Hotel in Begumpet basti.
According to sources, two persons, Shoaib, 24 and 25-year-old Shahid came to the hotel to have tea. Soon, over a petty issue, they beat up the server at the restaurant. Jahangir confronted and told them to leave. After a heated argument, the duo left. However, they returned at 4.30 pm armed with knives. They barged into the eatery and dragged Jahangir outside and attacked him with knives. A murder case was booked and is being investigated.
