MDMK general secretary Vaiko slammed the Central government for its alleged partisanship on the Mekedatu dam controversy and called upon the Modi government to come clean on its position on the issue.

Speaking on the sidelines of a local party event here, Mr.Vaiko alleged the Centre of lending covert support to Karnataka weighing political calculations in the State.

Stating that 15 districts in Tamil Nadu were faced with the risk of drought if the dams in Mekedatu and Rasimanan saw fruition, the MDMK leader pledged his support to any form of opposition to the projects.
