Election to the posts of the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor of Ballari has been scheduled on March 28. The post of the Mayor is reserved for Scheduled Tribes and the Deputy Mayor for Woman (General).
The election, if necessary, would be held at 3 p.m. and simultaneously, elections to the posts of chairmen of various standing committees would also be held on the same day.
Nominations can be filed before 1 p.m. on the same day for all the posts before the Municipal Commissioner, who has been has been authorised for the purpose.
