Aarya Sasidharan and A.K. Aravind, Class IX and X students of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Poochatty, Thrissur, have been selected for the Bal Shree award instituted by the National Bal Bhavan. The award will be presented by the President of India at a function to be held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Bal Shree Award, instituted by the National Bal Bhavan, recognises excellence in creativity in children between the ages of nine and 19, in performance, art, scientific innovations and writing. Aarya, the daughter of K.N. Sasidharan and Remadevi of Eravimangalam, has secured the award for excellence in creative art. Aravind, the son of Priya Pratap and Anil Kumar, won the award in the category of creative science.
