Mohammad Hanifa of Tenkasi, an accomplice of Police Fakruddhin, was on Thursday produced before the Additional District and Sessions Court here in connection with a case relating to assault on a Deputy Superintendent of Police.

The police brought him from Tiruchi prison amid tight security and produced him before the court in the morning. Security was tightened at Dindigul Court Complex.

After arrest, he was produced before the Nilakotai Judicial Magistrate Court. Later, the case was transferred to the Dindigul court. He was taken back to Tiruchi prison.

Fakruddin alias ‘Police’ Fakruddin and Bilal Malik were the other two conspirators who allegedly hatched a plan to blow up the convoy of Mr. Advani.
