The update maintains compatibility with other camera models

Nikon has just outed its 2.3 firmware version developed for the UT-1 Communication Unit, which adds compatibility for the producer’s newly-released D7200 Digital SLR Camera, and maintains support for previously-supported imaging devices.

Specifically speaking, the UT-1 can still be used along with D810, D750, and D7100 models, as well as with Nikon D800 and D800E DSLR Cameras running the latest firmware version (currently 1.10).

When it comes to updating your UT-1, first of all connect it to a compatible camera via a USB cable, turn on both devices, and go to Setup Menu > Network > Options > Firmware Version from the camera’s settings.

This step is imperative as it helps you determine whether or not the currently installed software version is newer or matching the present release.

If it’s not, save and run the downloadable package (available separately for Windows and Mac OS platforms), initialize an SD card using your camera, and copy the newly-created “_UT1_23_.bin” file onto the memory card’s root directory.

Now, connect it to your camera (which has an UT-1 attached), power both devices on, navigate to Menu > Network > Options > Firmware Version using the latter device, and follow all instructions for a complete and successful installation.

That being said, download Nikon UT-1 Firmware 2.3, apply it on your communication unit, and enjoy using it along with the new D7200 DSLR imaging device. Also, constantly check our website to stay informed when newer versions are available.
