HP Technical University: B.Tech/M.Tech admissions

Himachal Pradesh (HP) Technical University has invited applications for Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Master of Technology (M.Tech). The interested and eligible candidates can apply by April 24.

Eligibility criteria:

For B.Tech (direct entry) programme: Candidates applying for this course should have passed Class 12 or its equivalent examination from a recognised board or university with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology subject having acquired at least 45 per cent marks (Candidates belonging to reserved category should have acquired at least 40 per cent marks) in the above subjects taken together.

For M.Tech programme: Candidates applying for this course should have acquired a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field having acquired at least 50 per cent marks (Candidates belonging to reserved category should have acquired at least 45 per cent marks) at the qualifying examination.

Selection process:
The candidates will be short listed on the basis of their JEE (Main) score or HPCET-2015 for B.Tech programmes and GATE or HPCET 2015 conducted by HP Technical University for M.Tech programmes.

Application fee:
The candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,100 for SC/ST/BPL category and Rs 1,250 for others through e-challan mode or net banking /credit card/debit card.
