Woman murdered

A 32-year-old woman was murdered by unidentified persons at Thokavalasa village under Araku Valley police station limits on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as V. Parvathi. She was found lying in a pool of blood with her throat slit open at a farm near her house. Police suspect it to be a case of murder for gain as gold ornaments on her person were missing. Based on information, inspector S. Naidu and his team rushed to the spot and shifted the body to government hospital for a post mortem examination.

A special team was constituted to crack the mystery, he added.
