A Health department squad on Wednesday raided the Kudumbasree canteen at the Ernakulam Government Medical College and found the conditions unhygienic. The squad seized stale food from the canteen and gave a notice to rectify the shortcomings in three days. The Health squad also inspected the HMT canteen, where they had earlier raided. The condition of the canteen was found to be satisfactory. The team also gave notice to four wayside food vendors over lack of hygiene and to two bakeries for not having health card.
