The staff and special teachers of National Child Labour Project (NCLP) schools, and teachers working under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) scheme took out a rally campaigning against employing child labourers in Bhavani town on Wednesday.

District Collector S. Prabakar flagged off the rally from Arulmigu Sangameswarar Temple and it culminated at the new bus stand.

The participants distributed pamphlets explaining the criminality in sending children for employment, and driving home the truth that employment at childhood signified a life doomed for future.

They raised slogans conveying to parents their responsibility in educating their children.
