Rita Moreno lists Malibu rental house at $2.6 million

Rita Moreno, who has the distinction of having won an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy and a Tony in her lengthy career, has put a Malibu retreat on the market at $2.6 million.

The single-story bungalow, built in 1962, has sweeping ocean views from the front patio, living room and two of the three bedrooms. A dining room, a kitchen with a breakfast bar and two bathrooms are also within 1,800 square feet of living space. There’s a fireplace in the living room.

Moreno, 83, started on Broadway at 13. She won a best supporting actress Academy Award for portraying Anita in the 1961 film version of “West Side Story.” Appearances on “The Rockford Files” (1974) and “The Muppets” (1976) earned her Emmy wins. She shared a best recording for children Grammy in 1972 for “The Electric Company.” The Tony was awarded in 1975 for her work in “The Ritz.”

The versatile actress continues to work, appearing in the 2011-13 series “Happily Divorced.” She stars in the 2015 TV movie “A Gift of Miracles.”

A rental/investment property in recent years, the single-story cottage last changed hands in 1971 for $48,000.
