GURGAON: Four men, all of whom work in factories owned by Gaurav International, have been arrested for the vandalism in Udyog Vihar on February 12. Arvind Kumar, Saroj Kumar, Anil Kumar, all residents of Bihar, and Raju Kumar, resident of Bageshwar in Uttarakhand, were arrested while they were returning from work at the factory. Anil was arrested on Monday, the rest on Tuesday.
Arvind was a fabric-cutter, Raju a tailor, Saroj a cloth-measurer and Anil a cloth-checker in the factory. All of them have been booked under relevant sections of IPC.
"We matched their photos with CCTV footage of the vandalism and then observed them physically, before verifying they were part of the mob. We will question them about other miscreants too," said SHO Sube Singh.
Over 1,000 people vandalized 11 factories owned by Gaurav International on February 12, during an agitation over the alleged assault of Samichand, a quality checker, by employees and company guards that led to his death.
