In-demand teenagers Dom Telford and Mark Waddington have been offered new contracts at Blackpool, manager Lee Clark has confirmed.

The Seasiders pair were taken out of the first team earlier in the season because they had not penned professional terms, with the Sky Bet Championship club keen to avoid a situation where they departed on the cheap.

However, Telford and Waddington returned to the fold in late January and the Tangerines have rejected bids for both players as they look to keep hold of two of their most promising assets.

"They've been offered new contracts many, many weeks ago," Clark told reporters after Tuesday night's loss to Charlton.

"We've turned down bids for them - for Dom, a Premier League club, and a Championship club for Mark.

"They know I want them to be part of the future. Offers were made, whether we need to push on them again, we'll see."
