BJP leader and preacher Sadhvi Prachi unleashed a fresh controversy by calling the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi a British agent. Former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju also called MK Gandhi a British agent recently in his blog, for which he has been sued by the Gandhi Youth Foundation.

The controversial saffron clad VHP leader said that India attained freedom not because of the 'spinning charkha' but because of sacrifices made by brave sons of the soil like Veer Savarkar and Bhagat Singh, who gave up their lives for the country.

While addressing a Hindu sammelan in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich, the firebrand leader said that Indians should be allowed to bear only two children and laws should be enacted to disenfranchise those who produce more than 2 children.

She further went onto say, "those who do not chant 'Bharat Mata ki Jai', 'Vande Mataram', insult the national flag and those indulge in cow slaughter have no right to live in India."

This incidentally isn't the first time the Sadhvi has said something absurd which borders on lunacy. Several times in the past Sadhvi Prachi has hit the headlines for her controversial and inflammatory remarks. Earlier in the month her remarks on the issue of 'love jihad' had stirred a huge controversy. Some days later, she went all out and called for a boycott of movies by the Khans of Bollywood and advised the youth not to idolize them.

The BJP leader had attracted huge criticism by saying that if persons of other community produce 40-50 children, then Hindus should also raise four children. She supported BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj's comment wherein the latter had advised Hindu women to produce atleast four children.

Sadhvi's latest hate speech comes even after PM Modi's stern warning to his party leaders not to cross the 'lakshman rekha' while airing their views.
