Karnataka II PUC exams: Traced the rescheduled dates?

The Karnataka Second Pre University Certificate (II PUC) examinations which were to be held on March 17, 2015, have been changed to Saturday, March 28, 2015. The Mathematics and Geography examinations have been postponed, and the test date has been revised due to a strike being scheduled at the Kolar district.

According to the Times of India, officials of the PU education department have stated that although the strike is to be restricted to the district only, the examination date has been changed and corrected for the entire state. According to the officials, this is because the examination cannot be held separately just in one part of Karnataka. This year, the Karnataka II PUC examination was originally scheduled to be conducted from Thursday, March 12 to Friday, March 27, 2015. A total of 6,10,939 students from 4,526 PU colleges are expected to take the examination.

The Karnataka II PUC examination will be conducted in 1,017 centers across Karnataka. The process of evaluation is expected to start around Sunday, March 29, 2015. Helpline numbers have been arranged to assist the students, which will get functional from Saturday, March 7, 2015, between 10 am and 5.30 pm. These are to be run by teachers, counsellors as well as PU board officials.
