Young Aditya Waghmode to lead Baroda T20 team

VADODARA: Aditya Waghmode, who captained Baroda Ranji team this season, has been again entrusted with captaincy for Syed Mushtaq Ali (West Zone) T20 league tournament. The selectors reposed their faith in Waghmode who had led the team that became champions in the T20 tournament last season. Pacers Munaf Patel and Gagandeep Singh Natt have not been included in the team as they are injured.
BCA sources said arguments had ensued over captaincy issue as Yusuf Pathan had led the team for the first four games in last season. "There was discussion over captaincy as Yusuf is a senior player. But the selectors decided to go ahead with Waghmode as he has been captaining the Ranji team this season," said sources. Two practice games will be played in the city over the next two days before the team leaves for Pune to participate in the tournament.
